    Abstract

This study developed a play therapy supervision training program based on developmental supervision model and examined the effect of the program on competence of novice supervisors and novice supervisees. Novice supervisors (n=18) and supervisees (n=18) were assigned to experimental or control groups. Experimental group received seven sessions of play therapy supervision training program whereas control group did not receive any of the program. Positive changes in competence was found in novice supervisors and supervisees in experimental group, but not in those in control group. The results suggest a need for and the effectiveness of supervision training program for novice supervisors in play therapy.
